JEFFREY NELSON, DVM Dr. Jeffrey Nelson is the co-owner of Granite City Pet Hospital. Dr. Nelson received his undergraduate degree in Biology from St. John's University in Collegeville, Minnesota. In 1999, he received his Doctorate from the College of Veterinary Medicine at the University of Minnesota. His areas of interest include small animal orthopedics, internal medicine, ultrasound and wildlife management. Dr. Nelson enjoys spending time with his wife, Amy, together with their children, Kaitlyn, Benjamin and his newest addition, Alex. The Nelson family also includes a domestic long-haired cat named "Stinker" and a Boxer named "Wheeler".
ALYSSA ERLANDSON, DVM
Dr. Alyssa Erlandson is a graduate of the University of Minnesota with a degree in Veterinary Science and received her Doctorate in 2002 from the College of Veterinary Medicine at the University of Minnesota. Dr. Erlandson enjoys reading, camping, and agility training with her border collies, "Ripken" and "J.J.". She and her husband, Eric, and their son, Luke, share their home with their dogs, cats, and sheep.

LISA JANSSEN, DVM
Dr. Lisa Janssen received her B.A. from Concordia College, Moorhead in 1999, and then attended the College of Veterinary Medicine at the University of Minnesota where she received her Doctorate in 2003.
In her spare time, she enjoys outdoor activities, reading, and spending time with friends and family.
Dr. Janssen shares her home with her husband Al, 2 yellow labs named Macy and Winnie.

GERRY NELSON, DVM
Dr. Gerry Nelson is the founder, past president and owner of Granite City Pet Hospital & Surgical Center, P.A. After graduating from the University of Minnesota with a Degree in Biology, Dr. Nelson received his Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine from the University of Minnesota in 1965. Dr. Nelson previously owned two mixed animal practices before opening Granite City Pet Hospital in 1982. He is a member of the American Animal Hospital Association (AAHA), Minnesota Veterinary Medical Association (MVMA), and the American Veterinary Medical Association (AVMA). Dr. Nelson works with the Department of Natural Resources and with St. Cloud State University where he donates his skills to the Wildlife Rehabilitation Project. Dr. Nelson is active in Rocori High School (Cold Spring) Athletics. He helped to found the Rocori Athletic Booster Club where he presided as President for many years and was elected to the Rocori Athletic Hall of Fame. His favorite hobbies are gardening (he takes care of all the clinics flowers), yard work, and refinishing antique furniture.
